HITS RADIO LIVE EVENT

Hits Radio Live is a travelling stadium event, hosted by the largest pop stations in their area.  I was tasked with filming the backstage interviews alongside directing the stars on saying certain lines to the camera (e.g. ‘You are listening to Hits Radio’).

DUTIES

  • Setting up the staging, lighting and camera operation for the interviews within a time limit.

  • Directing the stars of the event (e.g. Cheryl, Little Mix, George Ezra, Rita Ora, Olly Murs, Rudimental, etc) to say the companies’ lines with an upbeat tone. This was done in a polite and efficient manner as the stars would have to move onto the next part of the pre-show press run.

  • Transferring the files within the cameras to the editors so they could begin editing and uploading content.

  • Operating a two-camera set-up (one wide, one close-up), making sure that both star and interviewer were in focus, and given the appropriate amount of time on screen.

CAR

With CAR, I was placed with several duties to help elevate the channel and specifically their online monthly talk show Car UNCUT. I designed and edited several intro stints for them, two of which were selected (one for general channel content and one for Car UNCUT). I also was assigned with editing several of the UNCUT videos, alongside its colour correction.

PARKERS

Parkers selected me to edit one of their online video reviews. They allowed me with the freedom to experiment with aspects of the edit, such as musical selection, the review's narrative structure and adding in a bloopers reel as the end stint. All of which were well received by the company and their channel audience.

GRAZIA

Grazia appointed me as their weekend content creator for London Fashion Week. They asked me to edit together short Twitter content that visualises their catwalk and collection reviews. This content had to be produced within a short period of time to keep up with the Twitter trends.

MCN

For MCN, I was tasked with editing a video of their event bringing together various motorcycle enthusiasts. I sort to encapsulate the energy and camaraderie that the R5K event captured. that the event This had to be done in two formats, one minute summary for Twitter and Facebook and the longer cut for YouTube and a follow-up MCN Event where it was broadcast to its attendees.

Additionally, I recently was asked to return to edit their review of Ducati's latest Multistrada, and add the same energetic narrative to their review content.

MUSTARD

For Mustard, I had to transcribe their YouTube insurance myth-busting videos and edit it into digestible content that they could place onto their various social media platforms. An example is illustrated here.

SWIMCUBE

Shot, directed and edited content (one short form and one long-form) for up and coming, and widely regarded swimming coach company Swimcube. The content seeks to illustrate to interested parties what Swimcube provides with its one to one, responsive feedback and high-performance technology.
